The feeling of hanging ten is unbelievable for me. It seems to be a rare occasion of getting it truly right but when it all lines up and it all locks in there is nothing like it. Thanks Bevo for the shot I really like it.

I called in at the Pass at Byron for a sneaky little session when I was driving home from the goldy last monday. There were some sweet little runners and the vibe and natural beauty of Byron never dissapoints! Harry Triglone punched out a little clip from the session of myself and good friend Dede Suryana from Indo.

Over the next week the Valla Blog may not get a lot of attention, that's because team Valla is off up the coast to beautiful Noosa Heads for the annual Festival of surfing. Sage and Jack have both won divisions there in the past but have chosen not to compete this year and instead just chill an shred. I however will be giving it a crack in the Old Mal and the open 9ft short board division. Wish me luck, happy surfing bloggers.

Spent a few hours in the Valla surfboard shed the other day with Sage and Brett. I always seem to pick up something new when hanging at the factory with Sage. He always make me one his latest Teas (this time a soy chai) and I observed his careful and passionate approach to surfboard making. I even ordered myself a new fish this time round..... thanks for having me mate.
